Nathaniel Smith, previously known as the state-wide Migrant Advocate, is the Director for the Mississippi Migrant Education Service Center. From building orphanages in El Salvador to creating sustainable resources for underserved students, he has always had a passion for helping others.
Nathaniel is bilingual and has extensive experience in the classroom as a public-school teacher, where he has dedicated his time to not only teaching the content area, but also building positive relationships with students and encouraging them to rise above their circumstances. He is a native of Columbia, MS and an alumnus of the University of Southern Mississippi.
