Gabriella "Gabby" Davis, a true asset to our team, serves as the Project Manager. Mrs. Davis began her work with the Migrant program in 2007 as a recruiter. In 2009 she became the Identification and Recruitment Coordinator where she was successful in leading the recruitment team. In 2016 she became the Director of the MMESC until she retired in 2020.
Mrs. Davis is a Cum-Laude and Phi Kappa Phi graduate of Mississippi State University where she was awarded with a B.A. and a M.A. in Foreign Languages and a minor in Technology. Mrs. Davis is a native of Mexico and a fluent speaker of both Spanish and English. Mrs. Davis is also nationally certified as an occupational Spanish instructor through License IACET Authority Provider, Command Spanish Inc. Before she began her work with the Migrant Program, Mrs. Davis taught Spanish at Webster County Schools for fourteen years, and after she retired, she taught Spanish at Starkville Academy. She also serves as a consultant for EL Engage, an educational company.
Mrs. Davis has extensive knowledge of the Migrant Education Program and its mission. She has been involved in every area of the program and is adept at serving the migrant families of Mississippi.
